St. Joseph's Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing
comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities.

continuously responding to the needs of people with intellectual
disabilities and their families.
The Foundation provides services to children and adults, through day
services, residential, respite care, and home support in the North
Cork and South West Limerick region. We have day and residential
services in various locations in the North Cork and South Limerick
area; such as Charleville, Dromina, Newtownshandrum, Buttevant,
Newmarket, Mitchelstown and Mallow, in Limerick; Ballylanders,
Ballyagran, Bruree, Bruff Croom Dromcollogher, Granagh Kilmallock, and
Liskennett.
St. Joseph?s Foundation is a lead agency in Cork Kerry Community
Healthcare for the North West Cork and the North East Cork
Children?s Disability Network Teams. These teams provide services

Liskennett Residential provides care and support for people with
Autism and /or Intellectual Disability who present with behaviour that
challenges and who have medium to high dependency levels. The service
is based on an **Apply on the website** acre farm, including an
Equestrian Centre, providing ample opportunity to spend time outdoors
in nature.
Liskennett residential is designed to provide each resident with their
own apartment; providing them with their own space, which is very
important while allowing them the opportunity to meet with and engage
with their fellow residents. It comprises of **Apply on the website**
apartments within three apartment complexes.
In Liskennett we aim to encourage and support the residents to
continue to enjoy as wide a variety of individual / group activities
and interests both within Liskennett and in the wider community. We
also offer residents the opportunities to explore new avenues and
experiences.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CANDIDATE WHO IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A PERSON
CENTRED SOCIALLY INCLUSIVE SERVICE TO PEOPLE WITH AN INTELLECTUAL
DISABILITY. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* Up to date NMBI registration essential.
* Not less than five years? experience working with
children/adults with an intellectual disability in a residential
setting.
* Proven managerial skills with not less than three years?
experience at management level and an appropriate management
qualification to Fetac/QQ1 level 6 or equivalent.
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a staff team
effectively.
* Experience of managing residential budgets.
* A detailed knowledge of HIQA.
* Experience working with children/adults with behaviours that
challenge (desirable).
